Shoemoney received a email from a self proclaimed DMOZ editor, stating:
A while back I got a email from a guy claiming to be a DMOZ editor saying that I had to pay him $5,000.00 or he would have my site: shoemoney.com removed from the dmoz.
He recently checked and was delisted. What a crappy product DMOZ has turned into. I don’t submit any sites to DMOZ anymore, because of the hit or miss in getting your site listed. Like Shoemoney said “DUMP DMOZ”

I checked in old versions of the ODP data - shoemoney.com was never listed - which is not entiresly surprising since it seems he offered a bribe himself in 2005 - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=150377&postcount=41

I’ve also checked and I can verify that shoemoney.com has never been listed in the directory. I also notice that the whole thread has been deleted at dp for some reason. Perhaps they’re worried about their credibility. (chuckle)

My error. The RSS feed for the site was listed for a couple months, but has been removed for some time now.

From Shoemakers discalaimer which he says everyone should read before acting on the post:-
‘You should assume everything written on this blog is a lie. You should assume I have motivation for linking to everything on this page and will benefit from it somehow. …. You should question everything. You should come up with your own thoughts and opinions and not trust some stupid blogger.’
Looks like there are a lot of stupid bloggers out here…
